About Me

North County Surf
North County Surf was created by Michael Glenn, an Encinitas resident for the past 28 years. Michael's original love was surfing so he attended San Diego State University and studied meteorology, geology, and geography. Once he graduated, friends would call and ask for surf forecasts which he obliged via a weekly fax starting in 1995. Now with the growth of the internet, the faxes are gone and the reports have grown to include North County Surf and everything that encompasses his life- surfing, networking, charitable work, and supporting local businesses through the Encinitas Chamber of Commerce and the North County Board Meeting. Hopefully the information you come across on North County Surf will get you outside to explore your community!
