We've had a good string of NW swells since last week and there's another one peaking tonight. Look for shoulder high waves around town tomorrow and slightly overhead sets in SD. Looks like we have some fog moving in though as high pressure breaks down so beware the dawn patrol session.
Tides are pretty mellow the next few days too with a 3' tide at dawn, down to 2' mid-morning, and back up to 4' late afternoon.Water temps are a pleasant fall-like 65 degrees.
Luckily for us, the swell generated by that storm will arrive before the mess hits. AND... the southern hemisphere churned out a fun shoulder high SW swell last week that will also arrive on Thursday. Most all beaches- SD to the OC- will have head high surf- and overhead surf at the best combo spots. So get it while you can before the storm hits! If not, you'll be left with 25mph winds on Friday/Saturday and stormsurf conditions. Which personally I like 'cause it keeps the crowds down...
