Surf Check 1/3/12

We've got some new NW filling in on the outer buoys this morning and it should start to filter in mid-day. Currently we have waist to chest high waves around town this morning from the old NW this past weekend and some smaller waist high SW underneath. Look for some head high sets later from the new NW and overhead sets tonight.

And thankfully- NO FOG this morning. The NW peaks tonight and we still should have overhead sets tomorrow morning. Thursday morning drops off then our next solid NW fills in late Thursday.

This one is a doozy- by Friday morning we've got overhead+ sets  in north county SD, double overhead in the best south SD spots, and head high sets in south OC. The weather should remain nice the entire time too. Further out, models show another good overhead NW lined up for next Tuesday- and good weather still.

Tides the next few days are around 4' at sunrise, 0' at lunch, and back up to 3' at sunset. Water temps are a chilly 57 degrees. Should be a good 7+ days of surf around here. Make room on your schedule to get some tubes this week!
