Not much out there today. Our good weather and solid groundswells in January has been replaced by cool cloudy breezy conditions and small windswell for February. Today we have waist high sets from NW windswell and the wind is blowing W at 10mph.
Water temps are in the high 50's and the tides the next few days are 1' mid-morning and up to 3' mid-afternoon. Nothing exciting going on there.
Our weather is not doing much better. Our cool mostly sunny skies today will be replaced by clouds and a little more wind tomorrow night. By Friday morning we're due for some showers around town, most likely a meager 1/10". That should blow through by late Friday and we'll have some NW winds around 15 to 20mph behind it. The weekend will be sunny and cool- much like today. Our next week cold front moves through late Monday into Tuesday- much like Friday's little system. And then nice weather late next week. Nothing exciting going on there really.
So what's our surf doing? Well not much. Each one of the above mentioned little weak cold fronts will give us little weak windswells. Look for the NW windswell to pick up with the winds on Friday for chest high sets- and junky conditions of course. Saturday and Sunday look to be clean but small.
Next up is the weak cold front coming through on Tuesday which may give us shoulder high sets- but junky conditions again as the NW wind blows. I guess you can't have your cake and eat it too. After that it looks like high pressure kicks in for clean conditions the 2nd half of the week and small surf again. So 'nothing exciting going on there' either. Enjoy the work week and get some of those little upcoming windswells!
