Not much out there today. Kind of boring as far as the waves and weather went.
Only some waist high sets from the NW and SW while hazy sunshine stuck around the coast all day.
At least our water's warm with help from the El Nino as our ocean hovers around the 64 degree mark. Tides the next few days are 1' at sunrise, up to 3' after lunch, and down to 2' at sunset. Heck- even our tides aren't that exciting.
And if that's not boring enough, we have a storm barreling into the Northwest tonight but we've got high pressure to the south of us so we're... caught... in-between. So tomorrow we may have a chance of sprinkles up in the mountains and persistent clouds down here. Yawn.
So when do we get out of this funk?! Soon, very soon. High pressure will build on Thursday and by the weekend we've got temps in the 80's at the beaches and light offshore flow in the mornings. ANOTHER great beach weekend. And the surf you ask? We had a storm off Antarctica last week that is sending us fun chest high+ S swell late Thursday into the weekend. The OC will be slightly bigger of course. Nothing big this weekend but plenty of rippable waves and fantastic weather.
The north Pacific isn't dead yet either but no large swells on the horizon. We do though have some waist high+ NW arriving late Thursday into Friday (and bigger in SD) which should help break up the S swell this weekend. On it's heels is chest high NW arriving Monday (and bigger again in SD). All in all some fun waves headed our way and great weather- once these doldrums pass tomorrow...
