Surf Check 12/06/11

Looking pretty small today. We have some waist high SW being joined by knee high NW. With the high tide this morning and inconsistent swells, it's looking pretty flat. Best bet is to hit a beach break and wait for the sets. Tides next few days are 6' at sunrise, 0' at 2pm, and back up to 3' at sunset.

Conditions are nice though with offshore winds but it is COLD. Temps were high 30's this morning at the beaches. There was actually a reading of 0 at Big Bear. Yikes. We've got cold tiny clean conditions the next few days but things are looking up for the weekend.

There is NW on the charts as well as some fun SW. Both should start to show up Friday afternoon and hold through the weekend. The NW looks to be head high with overhead sets in south SD and the OC should have some shoulder high sets from the SW. And the weather should hold up too. Models are showing rain finally but not until Monday. Long story short- we've got some action headed our way from the waves and weather but we'll have to wait another 4 more days...
