Clip of the Day- Being J.O.B. Is a Job

Love him or hate him, being Jamie O'Brien is a job in itself. Whether winning Pipe contests against the world's best, throwng up some random tweaked air and pulling it, or riding a head high shallow right in Indo on a finless board, J.O.B. is nothing but interesting. Take this Clip of the Day for instance. Just going to Indo for fun (and some vides and photos of course), Jamie decides to take a bunch of boards, fishing poles, spears, and anything else water related he can think of. Total baggage fee was $2200. Thank God for Red Bull money. Anyway, Jamie surfed a finless board about 8 years ago (was it in his film Freakshow or Freakside?) and tore about the little waves. It was almost impossible to tell he wasn't riding a thruster- especially with the amount of tailslides he does anyway on a normal board. In this new clip, Jamie surfs a fun but shallow right in Indo and actually gets barrelled a few times on the finless board. How he kept from spinning out in the pit or getting sucked up the face is anyone's guess. It's just Jamie getting creative- all in a day's work. You know what would be amazing- I'd like to see a contest between Jamie and Dane at some firing overhead hollow right one day. The amount of mind bending turns would push surfing ahead 20 years. We just need someone to pony up the money to make it happen. Are you listening Red Bull and Nike?...
