Surf Check 11/8/11
Man it looks fun today. No wind. Air temps warming up to the low 70's. Sunny with some high clouds. And leftover chest high SW/NW peaks. You could go most anywhere today and find fun waves.
Both swells are dropping unfortunately and tomorrow and into Thursday look pretty small. Can't complain though as both swells lasted a few days. Tide is dropping quick right now. From around 6' at sunrise to 0' mid afternoon and back to 2' at sunset. Water is 60.
Weather is nice today with temps in the mid-70's and that should hold into Thursday. The good news is that we have more NW showing up Friday afternoon. The bad news is that the storm that generated it is coming along for the ride. Looks like a good one too; models are calling for 1-2 inches of rain along the coast.
Surf should be head high by Saturday morning with overhead sets in south county SD but it will be junky of course. Friday morning the surf starts off small and we should have SE winds. Then the surf picks up and the S winds pick up by Friday night. Look for stormsurf Saturday morning with WSW winds. Saturday night the solid NW swell should be blown to bits and NW wind along with it. Sunday should start to clean up but the water will be pretty dirty. Further out we have a smaller NW for mid-week and clean conditions again.
